In short

Onstage is a Phoenix-based booking agency that books A-list celebrity talent and live music for golf events in Scottsdale and Phoenix: athletes for appearances and sponsor foursomes, celebrity hosts and emcees for awards and auctions, and bands and DJs for hospitality tents and after-parties. Founded in 2011, Onstage works from a roster of 1,500+ vetted performers and books nationwide.

What we book

What entertainment works at a golf event?

Celebrity athletes

Current and former pros who join a sponsor foursome, sign at a photo line, or meet guests at a featured hole.

Celebrity hosts & emcees

A recognizable host to open the day, run the awards dinner, and keep a charity auction moving.

Appearances & meet-and-greets

A set window for photos, autographs and short remarks, built around the tee times and the program.

Hospitality tent music

Acoustic duos and trios at conversation volume for tents, on-course stops and the terrace.

Clubhouse after-parties

Dance and variety bands, or a DJ who also hosts, for the evening after the last group comes in.

Galas & fundraisers

Dinner music, a host for the program, and a band for the end of the night at a tournament gala.

Celebrity booking

How do you book a celebrity for a golf event in Phoenix?

Start with the role, not the name. Decide whether you want someone to play with a sponsor group, sign for guests, speak at dinner, or host the whole program. Then give us the date, the course, the hours you need them, and a budget range. We go to the talent's representatives, confirm who is available and what they charge, and bring you options that fit the role.

Once you choose, we put the appearance terms in writing: arrival and departure times, holes played, photo and autograph limits, remarks, media and social posts, travel, and hospitality. On the day we manage arrival, the schedule and the handoffs, so your committee is not chasing anyone between holes.

Celebrity fees are quoted individually for each event. Allow 90 to 120 days for a large tournament or a peak date, since well-known talent books around their own season and schedule.

Event formats

Which golf events do we book?

Corporate golf tournaments

Client and employee tournaments where a celebrity in the field or a host at the awards gives guests a reason to come.

Charity golf events

A celebrity guest to help sell foursomes and sponsorships, and an emcee who can run the auction and the thank-yous.

Hospitality tents & suites

Live music that sits under conversation, plus an appearance window when you want a moment guests remember.

Clubhouse dinners & after-parties

A quiet set for dinner, then a band or DJ for the late evening. Country club member events too.

February

When should you book for Phoenix Open week?

Phoenix Open week in February is one of the busiest weeks of the year for private events in Scottsdale. Companies host clients in hospitality spaces, and evenings fill with dinners and after-parties that all want the same bands, DJs and talent. Treat it as a peak date and start 90 to 120 days out, which puts your planning in the fall.

Onstage is not affiliated with the tournament. We book entertainment for private hospitality events, client parties and after-parties held around that week.

Pricing

What does live music cost for a golf event?

In the Phoenix market a full band typically costs $3,000 to $15,000, and most dance and variety bands fall between $6,000 and $12,000. A DJ who also hosts runs $1,200 to $4,500, or up to $6,000 with a larger production package. Celebrity talent, speakers and specialty acts are quoted per event.

Those are performance fees. Outdoor tents and lawns usually need added sound, lighting or staging, and travel and hospitality are added for talent coming in from out of market. Every quote lists those lines separately.

On site

What does a golf venue need for entertainment?

Power & placement

Power close to where the act plays, and a spot in the tent or on the terrace that does not block service or the view.

Cart access & load-in

A route for gear that stays off play, plus parking for performers and a place for talent to arrive quietly.

Outdoor sound

Open air needs more sound than a ballroom. We confirm in writing what the act brings and what the club or AV team supplies.

Insurance

We provide a certificate of insurance naming the club or venue on request. Many venues ask for a $1 million minimum.

Yes. Onstage books A-list celebrity talent, including athletes and celebrity hosts, for golf tournaments, charity golf events and hospitality events across Scottsdale and Phoenix. We confirm availability and terms with the talent's representatives and handle the agreement and the day-of schedule.
What can a celebrity do at a golf tournament? expand_more
Common roles are playing with a sponsor foursome, a meet-and-greet with photos and autographs, short remarks at the dinner, or hosting the awards and auction as emcee. Each role is agreed in writing before the event, including time on site.
How much does it cost to book a celebrity for a charity golf event? expand_more
Celebrity fees are quoted individually. The fee depends on who you want, the date, how long they are on site, what they are asked to do, and travel. Onstage gets a confirmed quote from the talent's side before you commit to anything.
How early should we book entertainment for Phoenix Open week? expand_more
Treat Phoenix Open week in February as a peak date and start 90 to 120 days ahead, which means planning in the fall. Hospitality events and after-parties across Scottsdale compete for the same bands, DJs and talent that week.
What music works for a hospitality tent or clubhouse after-party? expand_more
An acoustic duo or trio suits a hospitality tent where guests talk between holes. A band or a DJ who also hosts suits the after-party. In the Phoenix market a full band typically costs $3,000 to $15,000 and a DJ who hosts $1,200 to $4,500, before sound, lighting, staging, travel and hospitality.
Do golf clubs ask entertainment vendors for insurance? expand_more
Most do. Onstage provides a certificate of insurance naming the club or venue on request. Many venues ask for a $1 million minimum, so send the requirements early.
Does Onstage book golf event entertainment outside Arizona? expand_more
Yes. Onstage is based in Phoenix and books nationwide, so the same team can handle a tournament in Scottsdale and one in another state.
